Background didn't kill it. No, the background was fine by itself... A darker color might have helped... but not much, no, its mostly the lack of contrast. there's just not enough definition to the depth... everything seems to be white... And this is Digital, right? The colors, I assume? The brush size seemed a bit too consistent. Overall, its still a good picture, but it seems to rely a bit too much on the black lines to determine frame compared to the skin tones and highlighting-shadows. That last sentence didn't make much sense, did it? *sigh* I'll put it this way, my favorite parts of this picture are her dress, and his hair. Hope that helps. (It probably didn't... but it doesn't hurt to hope, right?)

I must admit after looking at this for awhile, it became too light in my eyes as well. I wanted to make the sky darker, but thought it would effect the mood of the characters. ^^() not only that, but I've been trying new ways to color everytime I color something...I'm really hoping to eventual bump into a style I love, I've been trying to get past a pastell-like or watercolor-like image...but I just can never get it to be so I just got Photoshop I think...On the 1st day of September? o.o; I dont know but since then I've been coloring in the strangest ways to get a "good" effect in my eyes.
